If you visit Venice you probably leave with your own story of disorientation among the canals and foot streets. Confused wandering can be frustrating, but getting lost offers certain rewards.
Chioggia is a small fishermen city not sor far from Venice, at the southern side of the Venetian lagoon. It has been called "The Little Venice" but it has got its own peculiarity which is worth a visit outside the typicallly touristic routes around Venice (the jewel). This is an intimate video, as an invitation to visit this small wonderful town.
Travel with VisaView to Venice, my favorite place to get lost.
The canals are its streets and it streets are a maze of decaying building that lead to magnificent Piazza's. It is floating city, lost in time, during he day it is choked with tourist scurrying thru its streets, backpackers, strollers and camera frenzied tourist, at night is is oddly deserted, quiet, and melancholy.
We visited the Venetian Hotel Las Vegas. A large area of the hotel is a recreation of Venice Italy, complete with gondolas and gondoliers. the shops all have facades as they are in Italy. There is also a market square and live orchestra performances. Many paintings are on ceilings and walls. The whole place is roofed in with a sky painted on it.
