Some places, almost inexplicably, seem to be cradles of music. Seattle in the US produced Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana, Manchester in the UK seems to churn out a never ending supply of ‘indie’ bands from The Smiths via The Stone Roses through to Oasis. Another place that deserves to be recognised as a musical hotbed is Montreal in the Canadian Province of Quebec, and in just seven hours you can be there.

In Memory of Larry "Alan" Humburg (1954 - 2007). Recorded on location at Coral Bay, St. John, US Virgin Islands, January 2007. Alan Humburg was a long-time local St. John musician with many talents and a zeal for life. Though afflicted with a disabling physical illness, his spirit soars in humble surroundings while singing one of the many tunes he had authored. Alan was a good friend of mine.
