The Metéora"suspended rocks", "suspended in the air" or "in the heavens above") is one of the largest and most important complex of monasteries in Greece. The monasteries are built on spectacular natural sandstone rock pillars, at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly near the Peneios river and Pindus Mountains, in central Greece. The Metéora is home to six monasteries and is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

There are very many old houses, many with splendid walls . It contains one of the most variegate collections of architecture of the world, from the art nouveau to the baroque, cubism, gotic, and ultramodern neoclassic.

" The Forbidden City " is the world's largest palace complex and covers 74 hectares. Surrounded by a six meter deep moat and a ten meter high wall are 9,999 buildings. Construction of the palace complex began in 1407 . It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. It was said that a million workers including one hundred thousand artisans were driven into the long-term hard labor. "TheHeaven Temple " was built in 1420 A.D. during the Ming Dynasty to offer sacrifice to Heaven. The Chinese emperors called themselves 'The Son of Heaven'.It has been constructed over an area of about 2,700,000 square meters.

The historical centre of Amsterdam with its concentric canals was largely built during the Dutch Golden Age in the 17th century. As of January 1, 2006 the city of Amsterdam has a population of 743,027. Is noted for many outstanding museums, including the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum, the Rembrandt House Museum, and its world-class symphony orchestra,the Concertgebouworkest. The Van Gogh Museum houses the largest collection of Van Gogh's paintings and drawings in the world. Anne Frank House is also a popular tourist attraction. Amsterdam is known as one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the world and is a centre of bicycle culture. Most main streets have bike paths. Bike racks are ubiquitous throughout the city.

Abu Simbel has been building since 1250 BC.The entrance leads into a large hall with massive pillars fronted by figures of the pharaoh Ramses II - When the temple was threatened by submersion,during the construction of the Aswan Dam, the UNESCO,in 1963,launched a world wide appeal. During the salvage operation, the temple was dismantled and raised over 60 meters up the sandstone cliff where it had been built more than 3,000 years before. Here they were reassembled, in the exact same relationship to each other and the sun, and covered with an artificial mountain. The rays of the sun would light up the statues of the gods twice a year.

Christmas 2006 and new year on the Elba island - The Island of Elba is located in Italy,in the middle of the Tuscan Archipelago Marine Park .It has an area of 200 square km and a coastline of 147 km, continuously alternating between beaches and rocks, gentle slopes and sheer cliffs.The Elba was known in the ancient world with the name AETHALIA (fire), : the Greeks of the 5th century BC called it thus because of the fires that rose from the ovens used to smelt iron. It was the ample presence of this mineral that characterized the Elba .In the first years of the 50's, when Elba was discovered by tourism and has become one of the most desirable tourist destinations.
