i-to-i volunteers work with lion cubs in a South African lion park. While the volunteers work primarily with lions, they are also responsible for helping out with feeding other animals such as giraffes and warthogs. If they ever have a slow day, the full-time staff will often take them out into the park where the full grown lions reside, get out and play with them.

This project drops you right out into the heart of the bush, as you spend 28 days in our Ranger Training program. You work with, and assist expert South African guides as you learn game driving, tracking, rifle training, astronomy, geology and another of other areas necessary to being a successful ranger.

Everyday, at dusk and dawn, hop into a 4x4 and set off into the South African bush to track lions. Literally. The i-to-i lion monitoring venture is exactly what it says it is. Volunteers set out with trained trackers and rangers and use radio telemetry to seek out the lion prides.
