Located in Northeastern Oregon at Mile 327 on Interstate 84, Durkee, OR is a History and Train Buff teasure trove. With a population of 195 humans plus a whole bunch of horses, cows, goats and the occasional antelope, this little dot on the map is a great place to kick back and enjoy some of the most beautiful country in the Western United States. I got the chance to attend one of the most amazing festivals in New Zealand, the Wild Foods Festival located in the town of Hokitika. While there I was fortunate enough to cruise down the coast to Franz Josef Glacier where i did some ice climbing and hiking. Check it out.
