Located across the Thames from the Houses of Parliament, the Museum of Garden History is housed in the restored medieval church of St Mary-at-Lambeth. This permanent exhibition, the world's first museum devoted to the history of gardens. Inside the church, the museum exhibits are arranged by themes, including 'Elements of Design', 'Carter's Tested Seeds' and 'Children and Gardening'.

This stunning walled garden was founded in 1673 as an apothecary’s herb garden. Today it is a beautifully maintained piece of horticultural heaven. Historical, magical and essential for gardeners.

A section of Star Wars episode 2 was filmed in this famous royal residence: La Reggia, the royal palace of Caserta Italy. La Reggia has 1,200 rooms, however not many are open to the public. Of equal beauty is the park behind La Reggia which extends over 120 hectares on slightly sloping land. It was designed by Luigi Vanvitelli and completed by his son Carlos in the 18th century. It is a favorite location for Italians and visitors alike. Walk with us as we view the various waterfalls, basins filled with fish and fountains dedicated to the gods. Certainly not your everyday stroll.

Japan in the autumn, as seen in a local temple garden I love to visit. For a few weeks each year, it is a blaze of colour. The music I have accompanying this is 'Angel in the Sky', which I think conveys something of the same feeling. Please enjoy and please be inspired by these almost unearthly colours!
