Larnaca has a good selection of sandy stretches. In the east there are luxurious hotels and wavebreakers. In the west, tourism is not as developed and the number of visitors is lower. In summer especially after midday it usually gets a bit windy. You will find a number of Blue flag beaches. Good place to relax.

In summer the sea at Protaras is very calm and the water really warm. The sand is golden. There is a selection of secluded coves and organised sandy stretches. Fig tree and Konnos are probably the most famous of the Protaras beaches. In summer some get really packed.

Resorts and wavebreakers characterise Limassol central beaches. But outside Limassol, it is a very different story. The amenities are gone, the hotels are gone, and you may be almost alone on the beach. Make your choice.

The park is one of the jewels of Cyprus nature. More than 200 square kilometers for hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, nature study, photography, swimming, sea kayaking and snorkeling.

Ayia Napa has an amazing selection of top quality beaches. The vast majority are organised, Blue flag with golden or white sand, and crystal clear warm water. The water is rather calm, becoming a bit wavy after midday. In summer, many beaches get packed, but you will find some that are less congested. My favorites are Konnos and Nissi, both of which get really packed in summer. The videoclips were not shot in summer. Enjoy your swim.

There are more than 10 beaches in the vicinity of Paphos. The most famous is probably Coral beach in the west, which is calmer then the other beaches on the west coast. A landmark non organized beach in the area is at Aphrodite’s Rock (between Paphos and Limassol), the birthplace of the greek goddess of beauty. In general, one can divide the Paphos beaches into two groups. The ones in the south, most of which have wavebreakers and as a result they are also a lot calmer, and the ones in the west, some of which are quite rough. On the other hand, these have a wild natural beauty. If you follow the lifeguards instructions, you should be able to enjoy a splendid summer holiday at one of Paphos beaches.
