Barichara es un precioso pueblito en Santander, Colombia. Fue fundado en 1705 y ha sido declarado Monumento Nacional en 1975 porque conserva intacta su arquitectura colonial, con casas y edificios pintados de blanco gris o azul y muchas fachadas elaboradas en piedra caliza. En efecto, Barichara es conocido por sus numerosos talleres donde se trabaja la piedra. Sus calles están empedradas.

El Parque Nacional Del Chicamocha , fue inaugurado el sábado 2 de Diciembre de 2006, con el fin de hacer del Cañón del Chicamocha un sitio turístico , de Historia , Aventura y símbolo del departamento de Santander (Colombia) .
