First night of camping. No food except some carrots. It started with a failed shortcut up North and ended with fresh cactus, weird beans that tasted good, and a tasty stingray provided by the ocean god.

Went up about 10000 feet to Irazu Volcano. Couldn't see a thing because of the fog, but stayed in a cool little cabin place. It was COLD!

We were hungry so we kindly ate this iguana that we found. It would be a shame to waste! I'm not a fan of letting good protien go bad. Taste like chicken.......well kind of.

Located on the Northshore of St. John, Cinnamon Bay is one of the most popular beaches on the island. Today we snorkeled out and around Cinnamon Cay, a couple of hundred yards off the beach. Reef fish galore along with, Spanish Makerel, Parrot Fish, and Barracuda. All in a days fun in the sun. We finish off the day with a cigar at sunset on Vie's Beach Campground, 340-693-5033, only $25.00 per night, the best accomodations deal on the island. On Easter long weekend 2004, we decided to go camp on Flute mountain, at that time out of Whistler Mountain's boundaries and a few years pre Symphony express. We got our snowshoes, backpacks, tent and beers and made our way up the ridge. We set up camp and built a kicker over the weekend. Too our amazement, the sun came out and it was cooking hot. Earlier that week it had snowed so we had fresh lines under the 20 degree sun for the whole weekend. With a budget camera we filmed our activities. This is not a pro video but just clips put together from the weekend from a Hi8 cam and a Canon Elf. Hope you like it!!

Imagine JFK choppering in for a visit, Queen Elizabeth snuggled in for the night and Judy Garland belting out songs and disturbing other paying guests. And don’t forget President Herbert Hoover sneaking in through the service entrance because he was inadequately attired.
