Description: The Pitch Lake is one of three natural asphalt lakes in the world. It is approximately 115 acres wide and 250 feet deep and consists of the entire village of La Brea. The lake varies in it's consistency. People can swim in some parts, and in other parts they can build houses.

I'm trimerican and ashame to say i'm now learning more about this treasure in my home land. I will be sure to visit it on my next trip. I can't wait for my daughter to see it.
