I am also a Maukean born and raised on the beautiful Island of Mauke, also known as Akatokamanava.Going back home to Mauke is always a warm and good felling, and also so sad, that your grandparents aren't there to welcome you any more.I am so proud to be Maukean,and always treasure my little "Paradise".where my heart is.Te ngai i paoa ia mai ei au.

Welcome to Mauke, it is a nice, warm and peaceful island where alot of tourist find it so relaxing and getting to know the locals. Aere ake ki Mauke i reira koe i ki te ei i toou tupuanga e toou tupuna. Toou uaanga i puta mai ei koe ki teia ao.

True. Mauke is one of the best island in the pacific where you find the most incredible stories about the island. Mauke is our paradise for people that were actually born and raised and i would love to go home and spend the holidays there. Mauke is one of the island with lots of old stories and chants where our tupuna's come from and actually find out where we come from and where the name MA'UKE come from.

It is lovely to see Mauke where my Dad was born it really makes me understand when dad talks about his home land mauke, and to know where i come from in ngatiarua.
