Description: Travel with VisaView to Cape Town South Africa, fly in a helicopter above Table Mountain, visit the Victorian Waterfront to listen to some music and dance. Cape Town is a city of amazing contrast, the riches of the city versus the poverty of the Townships. European settler arrived in Cape town over 400 years ago, the horrors of apartheid have been reconciled with the realities of the present. South Africa is the most modern and industrialized nation in Africa and a beacon of the possibilities to other nations. Producer: Bill Fitzgerald www.VisaView.com

Visitor 174360 is right. Any megapolis in the world can't be reduced to a 4 minutes video clip. Needs half a lifetime to get to know a place like this.

Way to go to portray only one side of Cape Town, and South Africa for that matter. What about the Universities, the vibrant gay population, Bakoven beach and Llandudno surfers, the CBD and mining industry, the wine farms, the brand new airport. It really gets up my nose, videos such as this one. South Africa is not only full of starving black people for the white westerners to come and oogle at. I noticed that in one of the shots white tourists were hanging around the squatter camp with branded rucksacks and khakis on. Welcome American / German / British tourists, would you like to be mugged and raped now or after your shebeen experience? What utter bullkak. If you want to come and see SA and Cape Town for yourself, don't limit yourself to having a two hour tour of the townships, why not spend those two hours in Kenilworth Mall or a shopping centre in Gugu? You'll get the same experience without patronising the locals and making them angry enough to warrant armed protection.
