Description: The Dominican Republic is the number one producer of cigars. We thought it was essential to see how these amazing objects are made, so we got hooked up with the Dominican Institute of Tobacco. The guys at the institute took us though the entire process, from growing to harvest to drying and rolling. This will certainly open your eyes as to how these bad boys are made.

Arrrgh! Last time me and my crew of 4 were traveling these lands we were sure to bring our ARRI 12K, pair of Joker 200's, the ol' Kino Flo Blanket 6X6 and 6 c-stands and sandbags. Bless me sweet mother's bottom if we hadn't geared up before leaving shore.

Production-wise, supplemental lighting is needed for the interior shots. Time-wise, too much was given to the credits and hosts, and not enough coverage to show the remaining cigar-making steps. Next time around, an even better production.

You sure have a different perspective from the start to the finished product. Looking a t some cigars, and how they're presented to the retailer you would think they are produced at a clean modern facility.
