The rich live in 20-story-tall seashells on white sand beaches and the poor live in dense, dirty slums where murdering your rival drug lord is as common a chore as taking out the trash. Me- never had a problem. I have cherished the few weeks I got to stay in RIO and look forward to more. I have met the kindest most gentle people on the planet ( and I have lived in a dozen countries)

Thank you stupid white guys! I am a middle aged white guy from the USA. I fell in love with RIO a few years ago. I bought a house there, in Santa Teresa-surrounded by favellas. I am so glad to see stupid white guys making such ridiculous videos- based on nothing but the gossip and reputation instilled by previous white fools that visited a country with thier 3 piece suits and rolex watches lookign from the sidelines and judging a culture that they will never even try to understand. I am glad that fools like you keep tourism to a minimum. The last thing I or Brazilians want is more stupid white guys going tot Rio- So- thanks! Oh, and yes, it is dangerous! My friend stayed at Copacabana Palace recently and was stabbed on his way back to teh hotel. Oh- it was 3 AM an dhe was alone with his ridiculous suit and Rolex- practically begging to add to the fearful statistics.

That big white guy dancing is hilarious.... stupid North Americans, what do you expect to see in a place like a "favela"!!! I beat on NY- Bronx you'll see worst things!!!
