Description: Some places, almost inexplicably, seem to be cradles of music. Seattle in the US produced Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana, Manchester in the UK seems to churn out a never ending supply of ‘indie’ bands from The Smiths via The Stone Roses through to Oasis. Another place that deserves to be recognised as a musical hotbed is Montreal in the Canadian Province of Quebec, and in just seven hours you can be there.
