Oh yes - I also went to the church that houses Chopin's heart - Church of The Holy Cross in Warsaw which is right across the street from a Statue of Copernicus. I also went to the Academy of Sciences and the National Library and the National Museum which included a Military Museum at the rear, and outside - tanks, planes, all kinds of polish long guns, amphibious vehicles, troops transports all set in a nice little park in the rear of the National Museum. I was an invited guest at for Millennium Celebration of the Chopin International Piano competition. I went to see "La Traviata", a professional production. It cost me about 20 bux canadian. There are also over 30 professional theatre groups in Warsaw. Go - have a blast!

I went to Poland in 2000 - i'm going back in 2009. It is affordable and more importantly the Polish people are friendly, home based wonderful people. I went to Warsaw, Dobrowvo, Gdansk & Bialogaard. I went to the horse races and won 15 zwoty. I drank and ate, ate and drank and then after I was done eating and drinking I ate and drank some more. Fabulous trip - marvelous Country. Highly recommended.
