24-hour time-lapse of the Black Rock Desert looking at the Burning Man site 8 days before the event opens to the public.
That summer, several sources announced bad weather condition on the playa including uneven ground surface and high wind. This is known as condition Alpha. This time-lapse, entitled Condition: Awesome, is a playful and reassuring comment on the condition of the playa, almost no wind and flat playa bed, before Burning Man 2006.

1-day time-lapse of the pyramid at Pyramid Lake, Nevada. August 2006.
Pyramid Lake is located between Reno and Black Rock Desert where Burning Man takes place every year. There are many camping areas all around the lake. I've tried about a dozen, I love the lower camping area at Popcorn rock for instance but the beach by the Pyramid is my favorite spot. You need to get a permit from the Paiute tribe before camping there.
