I'm Canadian but have lived in Europe and Asia. Some of my favorite travels? Walking The Great Wall of China, sipping orange juice in the sunshine on the idyllic island of Santorini (Greece), and drifting along The Nile in Egypt... and yet there is so much more to see and experience! Perhaps my best experience is yet to come. Travel, for me, is as much about the people and the cultural exchange as it is about the actual places. The really fun part is reflecting upon, and recreating the experience, through writing. Though I am officially the Site Steward for Helium's Southeast Asia Travel section, I may pop up anywhere. My affliction for embarking on global exploits in virtually unmatchable. I can often be seen racing madly through airports and train stations to catch my next lift. But ah yes, the journey is indeed as important as the destination. So, it is this fun but frenzied "getting there" that fills many of my stories...
