The only thing better than an ATV dune and desert tour, is driving a vehicle specially prepared and designed to tackle the high desert terrain surrounding Las Vegas. Sun Buggy desert racers are not fast lap go carts. They are the culmination of years of desert driving refinement. Motorcycle rentals require a high level of skill to stay upright on loose surfaces. Riding an ATV / 4 - wheeler through rough terrain starts to feel like you're in the Ultimate Fighting Championship as you struggle to absorb bumps with your legs and arms. A Sun Buggy Fun Rentals Desert Racer is a purpose built machine. Nothing is added on our vehicles that has anything to do with anything other than pure off road driving thrills. There is no glove box, no windsheild, no radio, no heater, no air conditioner (unless you count the peddle on the right:-). A Sun Buggy Desert Racer has no carpet, no cup holders, no ashtrays, no chrome trim, it's just a purpose built dedicated off road thrill machine. Unlike rock crawlers where you drive the rhino over big rocks at slow speeds, our machines are setup to be nimble, stable and fast. Off road vehicles like Jeeps and Hummers are tall and are not meant to dash around corners. Our Desert racers are low and stable allowing you to run like a scalded cat. We use a double reinforced roll cage built out of large diameter tubing which makes for an extremely rigid chassis. Sun Buggy Desert racers minimize unsprung weight for responsive handling by placing the brakes inboard instead of at the wheels. Low unsprung weight means that your composure is less compromised in rough terrain giving you an enhanced level of control. Clients come through here that've "done it all" meaning they've driven high performance cars on race tracks, ridden dirt bikes and other types of off road vehicles and our setup never fails to impress those who know. One recent customer told us last week that he had more fun in our vehicles than he does driving his porsche or his 200+ mph race bikes.
