About Me

dwculver
I have been working in Costa Rica for over a year. How I went from cancer to Costa Rica is part of the theme of a film I am making. In the process I am documenting the wonderful rural Costa Rica area in the Nicoya Peninsula. My particular residential project is called Brisas La Tigra and overlooks the small town of Jicaral, Puntarenas and the Pacific Gulf of Nicoya. I believe the reason so many people fall in love with Costa Rica is because it feels somehow finally a place one just may find the harmony and opportunity often missing in most of our highly stressed out modern lives. I was a professional film maker many years ago and only recently returned after reuniting with an old friend of mine still active. He is the great 'activist film maker' Tom Chamberlin of Portland, Oregon. Please keep an eye out for our series on rural Costa Rica ..linked to Brisas La Tigra (breezes of La Tigra). There is much to share and over time I hope to show many sides of this lovely dimension of 'la pura vida' the life in Cost Rica.

Wonderful rural Costa Rica offers fabulous ocean views just outside Jicaral, Puntarenas..south of the Guanacaste border. The early morning clouds roll on below and out to the Gulf of Nicoya. A howler monkey among other earlier risers sends a signal of a new day. Some early birds get started in the Village of La Tigra.
