About Me

OpenRoadTV
We hope you enjoy OpenRoad.TV and that it helps you imagine and plan your own journeys in the American West, including Alaska and Hawaii. We’ve spent many years traveling the West and telling stories of our trips on video for KRON Television in San Francisco. We’ll give you our best stories and recommendations and ask you to send us your ideas, experiences and tips in words, pictures and video. Together, we can build a rich resource for anyone interested in following the OpenRoad wherever it leads, and we can create a large and dynamic community of fellow travelers. Most of all, we can have a good time while appreciating and caring for this spectacular place on earth. ~ Doug McConnell, Host - OpenRoad.TV

Life Outside the Box #1 - David Pescovitz of Boing Boing
Watch
Producer: OpenRoadTV
We're very pleased to inaugurate the Life Outside the Box video blog series with a guy we’ve come to like very much, David Pescovitz. David is an editor of Boing Boing, one of the most popular blogs on the internet that bills itself “a directory of wonderful things.” The editors report on internet esoterica, anomalies, and curiosities across an insanely wide range of topics, from innovative technology and contemporary art to culture and weird science. The only filter is “interestingness.” And interestingness is exactly what David shared with Doug at one of his favorite off-line places, the Musee Mecanique on San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, home of the legendary Laughing Sal. Have a look.
