In this episode, Scott introduces the show from Chief Shakes Island in Wrangell. After a brief history lesson about Shakes Island and Wrangell, Scott meets up with Jim Leslie (owner of Alaska Waters) to kick off the Stikine River day tour. After a tour of the river, the jet boat makes its way up toward Chief Shakes Glacier. Even though the boat wasn’t able to get all the way up to the face of the glacier, Scott and the other guests were able to get a hands on experience with the icebergs! We always have a wonderful time in Wrangell and the folks at the Stikine Inn are doing a wonderful job of restoring their hotel.
