Yesterday a post about an ancient Viking outpost, and today I hear that the tech-savvy descendants of those same Vikings are colonizing the virtual world.

My good friend Sarah is out, travelling around Sweden and she shared this little correspondence/story with me and I thought I’d share it with you -
We disembarked the Eurobus with wings known as ‘Ryan Air’ and walked down the tarmac.

Now that summer is hitting its stride in the Northern Hemisphere, which in NYC today means heat and humidity in the high 80’s (mmm-mmm!), cue lots and lots of stories about frosty, faraway and sometimes inaccessible places.

A friend just forwarded me a link to some very impressive pics of Stockholm’s Tunnelbana stations – apparently, they’re known as “the longest art gallery in the world.”

Just like your parents made you clean your plate because children were starving elsewhere, Norwegians have been told to stop whingeing about their state-supported lifestyles, as the UN has declared Norway the best place to live on earth.
