Our 4 week trip to the South Pacific started in The Cook Islands, Rarotonga. It was colder than we'd expected and culture shock to us city girls but we made the most of the simple island life.

Before I went to Fiji I spent 2 weeks on Rarotonga, the main island of the Cook Islands. Its a great little island. You can buzz around it on a scooter in less than an hour. Is surrounded by reef which makes loads of wicked lagoons full of awesome fish. We explored to whole island in those 2 weeks including a hike right up to the middle and highest point of the island. I even managed a drunken attempt at being a turtle on my way back to the sea!
