Just in Time for Snow Season: Tahoe's New Transit

Snow is in the forecast for the coming days and it's just in time for Learn to Ski and Board Weekend at resorts around North Lake Tahoe. Take advantage of special rates for first time skiers and riders including lift tickets, rentals and a lesson. Resorts are open and operations continue to expand as we head in to the holiday season. Crews continue to blow snow to get a jump on Mother Nature as Squaw Valley prepares for the holiday season. Colder temps in the last few days have allowed the snowmaking crews at Squaw Valley to crank up the guns and blow some snow! The Cable Car and High Camp are open for scenic rides and ice skating on the Olympic Pavilion at 8200 feet! Thanksgiving weekend is packed with events including rail jams and snow tubing and the vibrant base village offers many dining and shopping options. Winter is peaking around the mountain tops as North Lake Tahoe gears up for Halloween with pumpkins and ghouls galore. More wet weather is on the way for the area but that is not dampening the spirits of trick or treaters. Holiday festivities are in full swing around the area, with pumpkin patches and costume parties for all ages.
